Biography

Richard Stout is recognized for his leadership and valuable technical contributions toward the application of safe and economic nuclear reactors and fuel. His OSU PhD thesis material became an integral part of the early work on nuclear fuel management.

In his more than 27 years with Siemens Power Corporation and its predecessor, Exxon Nuclear Corporation, he has been responsible for the development of core physics and fuel management computer models and has been the manager of the fuel management, licensing, and safety engineering groups. Dr. Stout is further honored for his international activities in management, marketing, sales, and customer service in the Far East as president of Siemens Power KK, located in Tokyo, Japan.
